FENDI Roma – A Fur Story | Atelier Publication with Mink Fur Logo & Leather Presentation Case
A rare boutique and atelier publication produced by Fendi, conceived as a visual document of the Maison’s history and its long-standing expertise in fur craftsmanship. The publication was issued in extremely limited quantities through Fendi boutiques and the Rome atelier, and was never intended as a commercial retail release. It carries no ISBN and exists outside standard publishing distribution systems.
The volume is bound in black leather and features a genuine mink fur “FF / Fun Fur” emblem applied to the cover, housed within its original rigid leather presentation case. In both scale and material presence, the object operates closer to a designed artefact than a conventional book.
The content is predominantly visual, structured as an editorial and archival sequence, with only two textual sections (introduction and acknowledgments). The internal chronology and credits conclude in December 2018, situating its production around 2019.
This entry documents an original physical object preserved in archival condition. The book remains in mint condition, with no visible signs of handling. The interior of the case is equally well preserved. The exterior shows only minimal traces of careful storage: two small corner rubs and four faint pressure marks on the front surface, visible only under specific lighting conditions. The leather remains clean, supple, and structurally intact.
The object measures approximately 31 × 36 × 7 cm (case) and weighs around 2.7 kg, giving it a substantial physical presence consistent with high-end atelier production. Objects of this type are rarely encountered outside institutional or boutique archival contexts and are infrequently available in private circulation.
This entry forms part of an ongoing archive of fashion communication, printed artefacts, and atelier publications, where objects are documented within their material, historical, and visual context.
